Welcome back to today’s shortened addition of the spanka2Z blog challenge, 🙂
If you have read any of my posts from the past few days, you already know my family is fighting a virus. 😦
I’m hanging in there, but am tad stressed and fatigued.
LOL, I even called a dear friend a few days ago,to complain about hubby’s coincidental timing for his out of town business trip.
I sat in the parking lot of the grocery store, and cried and fumed. I think I said something along the lines of,
“I can’t believe the $#%ing b#st#rd is still going! He is leaving me with all… of this!”
Thankfully, she did the good friend/ nurturing thing, and listened to me as I vented and talked myself out of my frustration.
“Ok, he’s not really a #$%ing b#st#rd . I’m just frustrated. And it’s bad timing. I know it’s not his fault.”
She did the good friend thing again, and just agreed.
By the way, it is really hard to find friends like this. Friends who will listen, and give a shoulder, who will support, but not try to fix everything; and not force your own words down your throat.
It’s so much better when you can come to those conclusions yourself.
So, I am thankful to my dear friend for listening to me whine while in the grocery store parking lot.
I am NOT quite as thankful for the guy who sat in his truck across from me, watching me cry, while I vented on the phone. 😦 Seriously! He just sat there watching me blubber! Big jerk!
Hehe, I’ll live.
For the time being, I am disinfecting the house, cleaning all the bed linens, and having everyone drink lots and rest lots.
By the way. 🙂 for future reference, don’t wait til early evening to start washing sheets and pillowcases. I had to stay up a bit later than I wanted, because I had to wait for my set to dry. (I was being lazy, and didn’t want to search through the linen closet. )
But at 11 pm, as I was stumbling into bed, with an aching head, I realized that the sheet I was trying to get onto my Queen sized bed, was in fact, a Full sized sheet. It did not fit.
I still had to rummage through the linen closet. 🙂
I’m starting early, for the next set.

For the time being:
Here is my favorite ginger tea recipe:
Boil a huge pot of water.
Add ginger root, two sticks of cinnamon, and some brown sugar or honey.
Boil for 8 minutes.
When ready to drink, pour into a cup, and add real juice from (a REAL) lemon.
