Kathryn R Blake brings a little “Past Interference”

Have you read Kathryn R Blake’s latest Corbin’s Ben novella? Here’s your chance to see a bit more… 🙂

Excerpt:

In a flashback, Jerry wants to start a new tradition on Christmas Eve as he and Elly stand before his parents’ tree.

After placing a kiss on Elly’s head, Jerry handed her a small glass angel ornament. “Here.” The crystal wings and bell skirt were so fine and delicate she hesitated to take the figure from his fingers.

“Go on. She’s a lot sturdier than she looks. Just grasp the hanging string. I want you to place her on the tree.”

“Me? Why?” Elly asked, blinking up at him in wonder. These were the Douglas’s traditions, and as welcoming as Jerry’s family had been, she was still an outsider.

“Because I want to start a new tradition — tonight. Please?”

Elly carefully pinched the slender golden cord between her thumb and index finger and set the sparkling three-inch figurine on her palm before she glanced at Jerry in surprise. “Did you make this?”

Smiling, he shook his head while his mother, father, two brothers and single sister all took seats on the couches positioned near the tree. Elly held the last ornament to be placed.

“He did have it specially made, however,” his mother announced with a grin.

“Mother…,” Jerry warned.

Elly examined the fragile angel more closely. “You did?”

“Yes, I did. Look at her eyes.”

They were two tiny green stones that matched the color of Elly’s irises. She smiled at him, when a sudden sparkle from the angel’s halo caught her eye. A garland of diamond-like crystals crowned the celestial being’s long crystal locks.

“She’s got a halo of shiny stars set in a silver circle,” Elly said in wonder, staring at the delicate winged figure.

“The eyes are emeralds, the circle is platinum, the bar set stones are real diamonds, but you’re right about the halo, because you are my very own angel.” Grasping her free hand in his, Jerry dropped down to one knee. “Eleanor Ann Franklin Benson, would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?”

The room grew snowfall silent as Elly’s tear-filled eyes gazed down at the man she adored.

“You’re asking me to marry you?” Her words emerged as a mere squeak of a sound.

“I told you I would do things right when I proposed. Yes, my heart, I want to spend the rest of my life with you at my side and under my wing. I want to love, hold, cherish and protect you for as long as we both shall live. Will you say yes? Please?”

Elly’s mouth opened and closed, but no sound came out. Then she gazed at his smiling family gathered to witness their baby lay his heart out on a line. The man, whom she loved most in the world, knelt before her and his closest relatives to claim he wanted her. Her. Overcome with emotion, Elly could only nod her head.

His smile broad, Jerry rose to his feet, cupped her face in his hands and kissed her beneath the sprig of mistletoe his eldest brother held above their heads.

Blurb:

When Jerry Douglas asks Elly Benson to marry him, he wants their ceremony to be as close to Valentine’s Day as possible. Though Elly tearfully accepts Jerry’s proposal without hesitation, as she readies herself for her second wedding, the doubts and misgivings of any new bride-to-be are exacerbated by the abuse she suffered during her first marriage. When Elly recalls how quickly her uncertain stomach jitters grew into tight knots of pain on her wedding day, she also remembers how and why she’d fallen in love with and married Arthur, her first husband. A mistake she regrets more and more with each passing hour.

Though she’s lived with Jerry for four months now, and been subject to his discipline more than once, her first husband had been kind and careful with her, too, in the beginning. At least until she vowed to love, honor and obey him. And their move to Corbin’s Bend turned him from the strict, but caring husband she thought she’d married into a monster she no longer recognized.

Bio:

Lessons in Love is Kathryn R. Blake’s sixth novel with Blushing Books, and fifth spanking romance where Domestic Discipline is primary to the plot.  Although Kathryn is relatively new to the spanking romance market, she is not new to stories where the hero spanks the heroine.  In fact, most of her novels have some sort of spanking in them.  However, even in Kathryn’s novels where the hero firmly believes in using spanking as a deterrent, he has no desire to cause the heroine injury and takes no delight in hurting the woman of his heart.  In fact, sometimes he finds it extremely difficult to follow through on his threats or promises.

To date, all of her heroes are dominant, alpha males who are extremely protective of the women they love.  However, part of that protectiveness includes the need for a certain amount of control.  They do not suffer defiance or disobedience lightly. Even so, these men aren’t infallible, and they do make mistakes, but love and respect will always triumph in the end.

Kathryn has been a member of RWA since the early 1980s and has joined several local and special interest chapters. Besides writing, Kathryn enjoys traveling, reading, attending the theatre, and is a passionate lover of animals, so much so that in 2015 a stray cat adopted her. The stray now sleeps in Kathryn’s bed.  She has also recently taken up the expensive hobby of making and selling jewelry.

Her personal website, http://www.kathrynrblake.com, is filled with photos and links to information about her many interests as well as peppered with quizzes, contests, games and lots of other fun things to do and she loves to hear from her readers, so she has an e-mail link at the bottom of every page.

Rayanna Jamison gives us the history behind Cecily – A Holiday Ruse

Rayanna Jamison stopped by today, for a chat about Cecily from Corbin’s Bend. I am so excited to read this, and have it loaded on my kindle. As soon as I get some down time in front of my fireplace, I am digging in. Cecily and her story sound fantastic!

Rayanna Jamison: Hi Katherine! Thank you so much for letting me hijack your blog today to talk about Cecily and Carlton!

Katherine Deane: I’m so glad to have you, Rayanna! So tell us about your story and these awesome characters. I love your cover, by the way!

Rayanna Jamison: Thanks. A Holiday Ruse really was a first for me. Most of the time, when I write a Corbin’s Bend book, or especially a book in my own series, the entire history of the couple is written by me. This time was totally different, because I had to collect all the information I had, all coming from different authors and work it into a feasible story. It was a challenge, but I’m pretty happy with the way it came together.

Katherine Deane: I bet that was challenging. I can’t wait to hear about your character transformation.

Rayanna Jamison: The History of Cecily

A Holiday Ruse, the story of Cecily and Carlton Connor, came out last week. It is my fourth and final Corbin’s Bend book.

A lot of people, don’t realize this, but Cecily has been around the Corbin’s Bend Series since Book One- as such- she was the very first Corbin’s Bend character I wrote as a main character that was not of my own creation.

But because, her history was so spaced out, and because not everyone has read all the CB books, as I have (which is the great thing about Corbin’s Bend- they all mesh together nicely, but they can all be read as standalones), I thought it would be helpful to just review a bit of past information about Cecily.

Cecily is the daughter of Venia Varner and her deceased husband Greg, and although she has never been to Corbin’s Bend prior to my book, A Holiday Ruse, she has a strong history outline throughout the seasons.

In Season One, Book One- Finding Their Bliss by Thianna D- We learn that Venia, a beloved widow in Corbin’s Bend has a daughter who was very upset by the reveal of her lifestyle, and her move to Corbin’s Bend. This is compounded by the loss of Cecily’s father- right before Venia moves to CB and Cecily goes off to college. At the time of the book, we learn Cecily is in college in Florida and dating a man named Nathan from back east. We learn that her relationship with her mother Venia, is strained and that she does not approve of the lifestyle or her mother’s choice to move there.

In Season One, Book Eight- Last Dance For Cadence- We are of course, introduced to Cadence, Venia’s “second daughter.” And we learn that Venia, Cecily’s mother, and Cadence’s mother, were best friends, and that after Cadence’s mother died of cancer, Veni took over the raising of Cadence who was a teenager at the time, and raised her alongside her own daughter. Cecily and Cadence were raised as sisters.

During the second season, nothing of real substance is mentioned about Cecily- until Season Three, Book 7- An Author’s Angst by Maggie Ryan. Here in bits and phrases, we learn that at some point since we last heard of her, Cecily has gotten married, and her relationship with her mother is still strained but we don’t have any solid information- until the very end of the book, when in an ending that took me, an avid cb reader and fan, by total surprise, Cecily attends her mother’s book signing, with a husband, who is not anyone we have ever heard of, and tells her mother. “Your book saved our marriage.”

All of a sudden, my brain was exploding with questions,- Who is Carlton? Where did he come from? How long have they been married? How did we not know about this? And OMG- Are they practicing DD now? How did that happen?

And I knew, as soon as I read that last page, that if I was able, I wanted to be the one to finish Cecily’s story. By the end of the day, I had typed out a hastily plotted synopsis, and had it accepted, and I got to work trying to answer all of those questions.

Katherine Deane: That is so awesome! I can’t wait to read her story now too!

Rayanna Jamison: Here is a snippet that really shows the history of these three coming together.

*****

Round tables filled the center for people to enjoy their dinner, but there was also a small play area in the corner for the kids, well-stocked with games, toys and books. They were seated at a larger table with Venia, Jeff, and Cadence and her husband Marcus, as well as their children, who except for the youngest, were now off playing. The formal part of the dinner was pretty much over, and people were migrating around the room, making sure they got a chance to talk to everyone.

“I’m so glad you guys finally made it, and that you’re going to be living so close,” Cadence gushed.

“It’s been great to finally meet everyone, Cecily has shared so many stories with me over the years, from Venia- it was nice to put faces with names. Although, I met so many people today, I doubt I’ll be able to remember everyone.”

Cadence laughed. “As a community, when we are all together, we can be pretty overwhelming.” She paused. “We were all so surprised when Cecily came back from her birthday trip, and told Venia she was married. I’ve never known anyone who eloped.”

Carlton frowned in confusion, not quite certain he had heard correctly. “I’m sorry?”

“Eloping. Was it as exciting and romantic as it sounds?”

One glance at his wife’s face cleared all his confusion. When he caught her looking back at him, he held up two fingers against the table. Cecily flushed, her eyes widening, but nobody noticed their little exchange.

“It was certainly something,” Carlton answered.

“I have never been so shocked in my life. I always thought that when Cecily got married it would be a grand affair that wiped out my savings account.” Venia smiled indulgently at her daughter. “When it’s true love, all the bells and whistles, and fancy trappings lose their importance. Still, I was surprised. You know what I found the other day? Your wedding notebook. Do you remember that? You and Cadence both had them- you took apart all those wedding catalogs and magazines, and planned the whole day.”

holiday ruse

Blurb:

Cecily has been telling little white lies for years, both to her husband Carlton, and her mother Venia. With her husband on another continent, and her mother across the country in Corbin’s Bend, what could the harm be?

Everything seems fine until Carlton gets transferred to Denver, and they decide to spend the holidays with her mom in Corbin’s Bend. Carlton doesn’t tolerate lying—and he refuses to stretch the truth to accommodate the lies she has already told, one of which is letting her mother believe that her and Carlton also practice domestic discipline. Cecily can’t bear to strain their already tenuous relationship by admitting the truth, so Carlton offers a solution. When in Corbin’s Bend, do as they do.

She doesn’t count on being there longer than a week, and she certainly doesn’t plan on falling for the town, the people in it, OR her husband’s new dominant ways. Will Cecily’s web of lies lead her to everything she has ever wanted?

Begging for a spanking: Rayanna Jamison’s new Corbin’s Bend novel

I am so excited about Rayanna’s new Corbin’s Bend book.  It tackles some pretty realistic topics, like post partum depression, and I can’t wait to read it. 🙂

ginger up cover

Blurb:

After a difficult delivery and birth of her daughter, control freak Ginger Davies, is losing control. She cares only for the care of her daughter and has no time or energy for anything else. Her home, business, and relationships are suffering. She knows something needs to change, but she is too overwhelmed to do anything about it. As someone who has always prided herself on being strong and capable, and disciplined, she can’t bring herself to admit what she is really going through.

Her husband Beau has been content to take a break from domestic discipline to give Ginger the time and space she needs to recover, but he soon realizes that he’s not doing her any favors by letting things go. He realizes that break or no break, it’s time to regain control of his home and step up in a way that he never has before.

About Corbin’s Bend:

Welcome to Corbin’s Bend, the first equity-cooperative housing development just for spankofiles. Thirty thousand acres in the mountains above Denver sits your dream come true. With 1000 home sites, several restaurants, a club house, theater, pool, and many other amenities, you will find yourself at home.

Corbin’s Bend is the setting for a group of spanking romance novellas set in, where else? Corbin’s Bend, Colorado. A fictitious housing cooperative, Corbin’s Bend is unique in that everyone living there is into spanking, whether that be erotically or through domestic discipline. Just imagine, a place where nobody has to hide their particular spanking lifestyle.

While reading any series in order is nice, Corbin’s Bend books can be read as stand-alones as well.

Excerpt :

“See, here’s the thing. I was more than willing to take a break. Aside from your temper, I’ve never had to worry much about you, and I figured I could trust you enough to keep yourself under control, and remember the heart of why we do this. But now, now you’re disobedient, you’re not living up to your responsibilities, you’re rude and belligerent, and you seem to enjoy throwing it in my face that I can’t spank you for it. The way I see it, you’ve been begging me to do just that.”

Ginger bit her lip, chewing it absently as she pondered his words. Is that what she had been doing? Shame rose up in her cheeks as she remembered her harsh words and defiant actions. It was just yesterday, but it seemed so long ago now. Nothing to put things in perspective like a first thing in the morning trip over your husband’s knee, she mused.

“Is that what you’ve been doing Ginger? Have you been begging for a spanking?”

She didn’t reply, still wrapped up in her own thoughts, she didn’t even realize he was asking her a question, until his hand stopped rubbing and came cracking down on her backside with all the force of a paddle. Damn, she had forgotten how hard his hands could be.

“Answer me, woman.” His hand went back, poised for impact, and she squeaked out her answer, bracing herself for the blow.

“No, I wasn’t, I wasn’t!” It didn’t seem to be the answer he was looking for, as his hand connected with her aching backside.

“Okay, okay, maybe I was! But, it wasn’t conscious!”

At her admission, his hand stilled, coming down softly to rest on her back. “Now we’re getting somewhere. Tell me, whose idea was it do domestic discipline?”

Ginger sighed. “Mine, Sir”

“And, whose idea was it to move to Corbin’s Bend?”

She could see where this was going, and it didn’t bode well for her. “Mine, Sir”

“Mmm-hmm” His finger pumped inside her, in and out of her tight hole. She clenched around it, hoping for relief, but he just pumped harder. “Whose idea was it to take a break, from any and all punishments, against the advice of our friends and mentors?”

“It was my idea.” Her voice sounded empty, even to her.

The pumping stopped, but the spanking began in earnest. His hand flattened against her bottom, again and again, peppering both cheeks with sharp swats, one after another, with no pause between. Dd may have been her idea, but damn, the man could spank.

“It seems to me,” he began, concentrating on reddening the crease between her thighs and bottom cheeks, “that we’ve been doing things your way for much too long. I’ve let you be in charge of everything, even this.”

A Perfect Partnership, spankings, and sushi ;)

Displaying perfectpartnershipcover-rj.jpg

I’m sharing an excerpt from Rayanna Jamison’s hot Corbin’s Bend novel, A Perfect Partnership. Did you know her main character, Laney, runs a sushi restaurant? Yum! She even gives lots of fun names to her creations- like the HOH Roll, fantasy roll, That’s gonna sting. LOL, it’s spanko Sushi heaven! Here’s an excerpt that I really enjoyed when I read this!

****

“I’ll take a Corbin’s Bend roll, and a Paddle You Pink roll, to go, please.” His eyes twinkled mischievously, and Laney blanched at his choice, relieved that she had chosen to take his order to go. She really didn’t know how much more of him she could take. It was only noon, and she was ready for this day to be over. She donned a new pair of plastic gloves, then stepped behind the glass screen to make his order, every nerve in her body painfully aware of his eyes following her as she worked. She didn’t think she had ever worked as fast, mad at her body for betraying her, as his mere presence caused her to be instantly aroused. She needed him to be out of here, and she needed to stop seeing him everywhere she turned. Ever since he had arrived in Corbin’s Bend, if she wasn’t seeing him, she was hearing about him.

Wordlessly, she finished his order, bagged it up, and walked it over to the register. She took his cash, and quickly made change for the twenty he handed her. “Have a good day,” she said dismissing him with a fake smile. To her dismay, he didn’t leave.

“Lannea,” he started, nervously.

“It’s Laney!”

“ Lannea,” he continued stubbornly. “I have always prided myself on being a man of my word, and I don’t think I treated you very fairly last night.  It’s come to my attention, that, ahem, it was unfair of me to make threats I didn’t plan on carrying out.” Laney could see beads of sweat forming on his brow, and she knew he was nervous, although she hadn’t quite figured out why, or what exactly he was getting at. If anything, the more he spoke, the more confused she became.

“What are you saying?” Her voice was flat and unaffected. She watched as he realized how unclear he was being, took a deep breath, and started over.

“I’m saying, I like you, and despite the fact that we got off to a rocky start I think you are sweet, and funny, and breathtakingly beautiful and I’d like to get to know you better, if you’ll let me. I’m completely new to the world of dating, and I’m not very good at this. I understand now what I said that hurt you and why it did. All I’m asking that you give me a chance to right the wrong, and..” he paused searching and when he spoke again, she got the distinct impression that the words he spoke were foreign to him, borrowed from somebody else. “And put my money where my mouth is.”

She raised her eyebrows. “Are you saying… what I think you’re saying?”

Ruth Staunton visits – brand new Corbin’s Bend novel!

Learning-to-Live-Again-Final-200

I have Ruth Staunton visiting today with her brand new Corbin’s Bend novel. This one sounds so interesting. I can’t wait to read it!.

****

Blurb:

Tired of increasing chaos in his family life and the distance that is growing between him and his wife, Lainie, Grant Taylor decides the only way to save his marriage is to get back to the domestic discipline lifestyle he grew up with. When he finds Corbin’s Bend on the Internet, he is certain it is the perfect place for them to start over.

Exhausted and tired of juggling everything herself, Lainie reluctantly agrees to her husband’s suggestion. However, she is new to the lifestyle and more than a little uncertain about it. To make matters worse, their 15-year-old daughter Kathleen is convinced they had moved her into some kind of weird spanking cult. She is miserable and not at all shy about letting everybody know it.

Will moving to Corbin’s Bend be their saving grace, or will it be the final straw that tears them apart?

Excerpt:

“Is that what you think this is about?” Grant asked. “You think I’m punishing her for being angry?” He had moved over to lean against the wall and was watching her intently, arms crossed. Lainie opened her mouth to speak, but Grant continued before she got the chance. “No, I don’t think you do. In fact, I think you know exactly why I did what I did. You’re only in here discussing it because Kathleen came running to you.”

That was uncomfortably true, but Lainie protested nonetheless. “It’s not that,” she insisted. “I just know what is going to be like for her. She’s going to be miserable, and then she’s going to try to make me miserable in return. You don’t know what it’s like to be stuck in the house with a moody teenager all day. It’s going to be hell. It’ll be more of a punishment for me than for her. Trust me. I speak from experience.”

“That’s even more reason why she doesn’t need to get her way,” Grant said. “She’ll find out quickly that whining and complaining will only make her lose it longer. It’ll be different this time. I’ll be here, for one.”

“No you won’t,” Lainie said stubbornly. “You have to go to Denver in the morning and then I’m sure you’ll find some other errand or something to do. It’ll be me dealing with her and you know it. It always is.”

“It won’t be this time,” Grant persisted. “I’m here now. If she gives you any trouble while I’m gone, just let me know and I will deal with it. It’s my job to set boundaries and enforce them.”

Lainie eyed him skeptically. She really wished she could believe him. She wanted to. It wasn’t that she did not believe he was sincere. She knew he meant it, but meaning it and actually doing it were two different things. Grant didn’t exactly have a good track record when it came to following through and helping her with the kids. However much she wished she could, she had a hard time believing that that was really going to change now.

Grant must have seen what she was thinking on her face because he continued, “Hey, I thought you agreed to let me be the Head of Household?”

He knew damn well she had, but she didn’t believe for a minute that was some magic wand that was going to change everything. “Is that going to be your answer for everything now?” she asked irritably.

Grant didn’t answer. Instead, he crossed over to her and took her chin in his hand. “Didn’t you?”

Reluctantly, Lainie nodded, huffing in exasperation.

“Then trust me to handle it.”

Why did he insist on acting like everything was just so simple? It wasn’t, not at all. Things didn’t change like that. Annoyed, she tried to twist away, but he held her fast, leveling her with a steady look, waiting and clearly expecting an answer.

“Okay, okay, fine,” Lainie said. “Just remember I warned you she was going to make everyone’s life miserable.”

Grant didn’t seem concerned in the least. “Duly noted. Oh, and Lainie, you remember you agreed to let me handle it because if you go against me with the kids again, I’ll not only discipline the child. I’ll spank you too.”

Meet Brand New Spanking Author – Corinne Alexander!

I have my good friend, and brand new author (her first book is releasing today!), Corinne Alexander visiting !

Corinne Alexander: Hi Katherine! Thanks for having my on your blog today! As my best friend there is no place I would rather be on the day of my very first book release!

Katherine Deane: All right, let’s take a vote. who is more excited about your new release – your FIRST EVER published book!??? Me or you? 🙂

Corinne Alexander: *Laughs* That’s a hard one! You have definitely been one of my biggest cheerleaders. I tend to be in the background mellowing and there you are poking, prodding, and cheering me into motion, “Come on, get out there! You can do it! Go, Fight, Win!” BUT then we had an unexpected third contender enter the race. I think the winner might just be my Mom! I came out to her last year about writing spanking romance and then accidentally shared my Winter Spanks story on my real life facebook page. Now mind you it was at two o’clock in the morning and it was only up for ten minutes before I realized what had happened, but that was long enough for my Mom to happen upon it and delightedly devour my story and several others on the hop. Considering that she’s not into this kink herself, she was over the moon about my story and has been calling or texting me every few days to squeal with delight about my upcoming release!

Katherine Deane: LOL, Okay, I think your mom wins this one!

So, what was your favorite part of writing this story? Or what stands out to you as that defining moment when this story became real.

Corinne Alexander: There were two moments in the writing process that are favorites and really stand out. The first is when the characters came to me in the first place. We were on a road trip to my son’s soccer tournament and they just appeared out of nowhere and started talking to me. Yes, I really do hear voices in my head! Their faces and backgrounds appeared in my mind like I asked them to tell me a little about themselves and they did! First Violet, then Everleigh, and Charles came next.

The next was when the story finally started gelling together and all of the snippets and scenes started to make sense and join the others. I still get goosebumps thinking about it.

Katherine Deane: What was the most difficult part about writing this story?

Corinne Alexander: Learning to balance my family life with my author life. We had some major bumps in the road during the time I was writing A Brush of Violet. I had to put my pen down for awhile to deal, but what I’ve learned is that the story didn’t go anywhere in the meantime. It was right there when I was ready and able to pick that pen up again.

Katherine Deane: I’m so glad you made it through everything, and kept going with the story. 🙂

What is the biggest thing you learned from this process?

Corinne Alexander: How much I have left to learn! I’m actually really excited about learning too. There are things that you can never really learn just by taking a class or reading a book. You have to get that hands on learning experience and writing this book was exactly that for me.

Katherine Deane:  Okay, you already know how much I loved Violet and Charles.  What’s next? Who gets the next HEA? or spanking? or both? 😉

Corinne Alexander: First of all I have to say you are in luck! The fantastic Maggie Ryan will be writing Ever & Robert’s story in Season Three of Corbin’s Bend! I was ecstatic when I found out!

As far as I go, I’m getting ready to submit an outline for my next Corbin’s Bend project that I hope will be accepted for Season Three. My MC, Melissa, makes her small debut in A Brush of Violet in a brief scene in which she appears before the Discipline Board.

Aside from Corbin’s Bend the project I am really excited about is the one that we have in the works. I won’t give much away to the audience since it’s still in the super secret stages, but it’s a story line near and dear to my heart and I’m sure that everyone is going to love it!

Katherine Deane: I can’t wait! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!

Congratulations, Author! ❤

Corinne Alexander: Thank you, Katherine! I had so much fun!

Be sure to visit for games and prizes on Nov 9th hosted by Spanking Romance Reviews!

Synopsis

High powered business woman, Violet Walker, has long left her artistic days behind. That is until her best friend, Everleigh Harris, invites her to Corbin’s Bend for an art festival. What Everleigh doesn’t know is that Violet hasn’t been able to paint a single brush stroke since turning her back on her submissive desires and spanking needs in college. When she meets charismatic and drop dead gorgeous Charles her world is turned completely upside down. Will Violet, overworked, burnt out, and in denial of her deepest wants and desires, be able to surrender when love knocks on her door?

Raised in a traditional family; love and discipline are a way of life for him. There’s nothing he wants more than a marriage just like his parents where spanking and romance go hand in hand, even if that means holding out for true love. Is Violet just the kind of woman he’s looking for?

Will Violet risk the life she’s built for herself in blood, sweat, and tears for the undeniable connection she has with Charles, the utter bliss and contentment she feels when she’s over his lap? Can Charles convince Violet she really can have it all? Will this trip be just what she needs to rekindle all that she has lost since joining the corporate world?

Corinne Alexander is an erotic spanking romance writer who loves nothing more than to snuggle up with a cup of coffee, a warm blanket, and a steaming hot erotic romance. She enjoys strong alphas, feisty heroines, and a good old fashioned spanking romance. A Brush of Violet (Corbin’s Bend) is her debut novella.  Corinne’s favorite kind of day is when she can slip away into nature to get lost in her daydreams, spinning her fantasies, with the forest floor under her feet, the wind rustling through her hair, and sunbeams kissing her face.

His Forever Summer, by Tara Finnegan

His-Forever-Summer-Final-500

I am so excited to finally read Carla’s story! She was the “bad girl” in many of season one’s stories. I love her character and can’t wait to read her story. 🙂

Update: Just finished. LOVED it! Will review soon 🙂

His Forever Summer by Tara Finnegan

Carla Methon has tread on a lot of toes, men’s and women’s alike. But no one could be more dissatisfied with Carla than the lady herself. With a compunction to throw herself at every man within a three mile radius and a serious case of foot in mouth disease, Carla knows she is in desperate need of being taken in hand before she does any more damage to her reputation.  Kieran O’Brien needs to escape a broken relationship and he invites himself to spend a summer with his brother in Corbin’s Bend. But Kieran is a totally unsuspecting vanilla with no idea of the ethos of the community he is about to enter.  The pair strike up an unlikely friendship of vanilla and spice, with one stipulation – it is only a summer fling. By the time Kieran boards his flight to return to Ireland he wishes his summer could last forever. Can he find the courage, not only to admit the extent of his feelings, but to take on the role Carla so desperately needs him to be?

Excerpt

“What the heck? Do you realise it’s six thirty? I only just got to sleep,” Carla snapped at Kieran as he barged through the front door.

“Sorry, this couldn’t wait. I can’t let you go through with it. I won’t let you do it. I’ve been awake all night thinking about it. It’s crazy.”

“You can’t stop me! It’s got nothing to do with you, Kieran. I need to face my demons, and be punished for it, and unless you’re going to man up and do the punishing, then I suggest you get the hell out and let me make my own decisions,” Carla snapped with exasperation. She saw his brain catch up with her words.

“And if I punish you, you’ll cancel?”

“Christ, Kieran, I was joking. It’s called sarcasm. We both know you wouldn’t be able to see it through.”

“But if I could?”

“Fine, if you could, and if you could do it properly, then yes, I’ll cancel.” She didn’t for one minute believe there was any likelihood of her not making her appointment.

“So, what exactly do I need to do?” he asked.

“Fuck, you want the step by step guide?”

“How the hell else am I supposed to do it? Or make it mean anything.”

“Shit, you’re serious. Um, okay. I suppose first you need to talk to me about what it is I’ve done. Get me to confess it. Then spank me for each thing, I guess. Maybe pausing in between. Look I don’t really know. I’ve only ever had this done once, when I was young. Every other time it was erotic. But I think you need to be disapproving, authoritative. I doubt you can do that! It’s a crazy idea.” Kieran flinched and she knew she had stung his manhood, although she didn’t mean to. She was just being straight. Her foot in mouth disease was playing up again.

“Let me worry about how I behave! We’re here to discuss how you have behaved. For now I need the practicalities. Like what I’m supposed to use, how many times I’m supposed to hit you. How I know if I’m going too far, or even if I’m not doing it enough. You know what, you go and wait in your room, and give me a key. I’m going to talk to Jim. I’ll get more sense out of him.” Without waiting for a reply, he was gone, snatching her door-keys from inside the front door.

Shit, she’d gone and done it now. If he was going to punish her, then he was going to want to know why. She’d have to tell him everything. Carla cringed at the thought of the conversation that was going on between Kieran and Jim right at that moment.

Author Bio:

The accidental writer, that’s me! A lot of writers will tell you that they dreamed of being a writer for years and were making up stories from they were knee high to a grasshopper. And a lot of them loved English class. I dodged all forms of essay (not even bothering to look for an original or plausible excuse) and entertained myself and by poor desk mate during my English classes by very rudely paraphrasing and taking the mickey out of Francis Bacon…yep, looking back, that’s probably when I should have had my first good spanking. If not for wasting my own education, then surely for distracting my misfortunate neighbour. Then I started an affair with my computer, so much so that I nearly had to be surgically removed from it. And what’s an affair without a good measure of hot sex and erotic spanking?
